At Ross, the process begins with you, setting performance criteria
and budget requirements and selecting the ideal foundry methods through
co-engineering.
Our metallurgists will help determine the best alloys to achieve your
needs. Our aluminum alloy melting process filters the molten metal to
remove oxides and inclusions. Continuous degassing techniques removes
hydrogen gas porosity for the highest possible metal soundness.
Continuous controls throughout the processes typically result in products
with greater dependability, higher performance and higher mechanical properties.
Ross Aluminum's Machining Division is comprised of CNC lathes and VMC
milling centers capable of holding close tolerances. This enables Ross
to take raw castings and provide a completely machined part to our customers.

Ross Aluminum's Machine Shop Division is comprised of over 30 CNC machines with several manual machines. This enhances our ability to better service our customer needs and demands. Over one third of the CNC machines are less than five years old. We understand to meet today's machining requirements, technology is of major importance in maintaining rigid quality standards, on-time deliveries, while being competitive in quoting jobs.
Wide variety of machines capable of producing prismatic and cylindrical parts.
In-house, machine tools consist of Mazak, Monarch, Okuma, Haas, Chiron, Do-All, and Quantum. Along with five VMC's, HMC, and several lathes coupled with three-shift operation gives Ross the ability to be quite flexible.
Machining centers capable of machining parts in sizes over 48 inches in length and weighing hundreds of pounds.
Quantities range from one piece to thousands of units, with assembly also available.
Varied product mix including, but not limited to automotive, trucking and the aerospace industries.
Machining and balancing of turbo charger impellers for foreign and domestic users is also a specialty.
Other capabilities include pressure testing of parts, pressure washing to meet mil-a-por specifications, parts vibrator, CMM and probing features, as well as state of the art CAD/CAM capabilities.
The ability to produce raw castings and provide a completely machined part to our customers.
Our Machine Shop is proud to be QS-9000 certified.
